Feeling Pink

11/12/2023

In the whimsical world of moods and colors, one often hears of “feeling blue,” but today, I found myself wrapped in the warm embrace of pink. The sun unfurled its golden rays across the New York skyline, casting a glow against the brisk onset of autumn’s chill. The city, draped in a golden foyer, seemed to invite the cozy indulgence of a steaming cup of coffee at any hour.

This morning’s palette was decidedly pink. Just a few days back, weaving through the bustling arteries of the city towards the uptown N, R subway from 4th, I encountered a serendipitous moment with Hendrik—a gentleman I whimsically nickname ‘The German’, a nod to his origins that he shared with a smile. His request was simple yet unexpected: could he capture my likeness in a photograph? For his project celebrating femininity, no less. In that fleeting exchange, a spark was reignited within me, a reminder of the delicate strength and grace that femininity embodies—qualities often overshadowed in our relentless pursuit of productivity.

Inspired by this encounter, I’m delighted to present to you my latest collection: “Me, Feeling Pink.” It’s a tribute to the soft yet powerful essence of femininity that Hendrik so gracefully reminded me of. This collection is for those days when you feel like embracing the gentle yet bold spirit within, for the days when you feel, unmistakably, pink.

Embracing the iridescence of dawn, the latest collection is a homage to the rosy hues of a new beginning. Each piece reflects the delicate interplay of light and fabric. The pants are a masterpiece of tailoring—a high-waisted silhouette cinched with an elegantly crafted belt, flowing into meticulously tailored legs that capture movement with each stride. Straps wrap around the ankles, a playful nod to the bonds of tradition and innovation.

The jackets are a triumph of design, merging functional form with resplendent beauty. A shimmering hooded piece is adorned with roses meticulously sculpted from the same lustrous fabric, a celebration of femininity and strength. With every turn, the metallic finish catches the light, a spectacle of modern craftsmanship.

This collection isn’t just clothing; it’s a narrative woven in the language of couture, a story told in the gloss of satin and the strength of a silhouette. It’s a collection that belongs not just in the wardrobe, but in the annals of avant-garde expression—a statement that says, “Here I am, embracing my femininity, ready to shine.”
